The Halloween Powerball drawing has awarded three scarily good Match 5 prizes to players in both America and the United Kingdom. While the biggest scare of the evening was the fact that the jackpot remained unclaimed, the Monday drawing will provide participants with another chance to win an even bigger prize.

Three Players Won Match 5 Prizes

The Saturday Powerball drawing had players vying for an estimated top prize of $770 million with a cash value of $330.1 million. While both the annuity and the lump sum would have been a truly life-changing experience for a hypothetical winner, a jackpot win did not happen since no one managed to match all six numbers.

For context, the five white numbers drawn on October 31 were 2, 4, 18, 50, and 56. The Powerball was 20 and the Power Play multiplier was 3x.

As mentioned, three players managed to match all five white numbers, which ended up securing each of them a seven-figure payout. Two of these wins happened in the state of Georgia and the United Kingdom, where two lucky ticket holders are now eligible to claim $1 million payouts. The third win happened in North Carolina and, thanks to the Power Play feature, the lucky player there will be able to claim a $2 million prize instead of the regular $1 million.

In addition to the three Match 5 wins, some 36 players won tier-three prizes after matching four white numbers and the Powerball. Of these, 25 won $50,000 each, while the remaining 11 won $150,000 each, thanks to the Power Play feature.

The Prize Nears the $800M Mark

The Powerball momentum has been steadily growing stronger as the prize continues to swell in size. The next drawing is set to take place later today and will put a prize of $793 million on the line. A hypothetical winner will be able to either take the annuity for the full sum or the one-time lump sum payment of $339.9 million.

If no one wins, the prize would likely pass the $800 million threshold, making the next drawings even more exciting.

In the meantime, Powerball continued to award big prizes to its players with some of the most recent ones including a player in Florida and a player in Georgia who won $1 million each. Before that, the October 21 drawing had three Match 5 winners, two of whom won $2 million each.
